Mel is short for Melanie, but very few people actually call me Melanie. I was born and raised in a branch of the Polygamist group lead by the Jeff’s family, yes that FLDS polygamist group in Eldorado, TX. The branch of the group I was raised in was in Salt Lake City and Colorado City, AZ. I got into radio at the tender age of 15 and it's my passion, and offered me a way out of the sect. My older sister Maria got out by joining the Navy. She is my best friend and when you hear me say Mom & Pop on the air I am referring to her in laws. They adopted me and call me their daughter, I am truly lucky to have them and my personal freedom. Dallas is the 6th city I've called home while pursuing my passion. I have lived in Salt Lake, Reno, Redding CA, Las Vegas and San Diego. I love traveling, Pilates and yoga, reading, entertaining and pursuing the art of conversation.
